Topside Tuesday – Spices!

It’s “Topside Tuesday” … so where do you think this colourful photo was taken?

This great shot, by cruise director Jerry, comes from a ‘surface interval’ in Maluku (at the Banda Islands – the Spice Islands), where we take a tour round a nutmeg plantation on Banda Neira island – what fantastic colours (and trust us; the smells are great too)!

You can see more about Maluku/Banda here; http://thearenui.com/diveMaluku.html

If you fancy a trip to the nutmeg plantation, combined with some incredible diving in the Maluku region, then look out for our cruises that start/end in Ambon. We only have 2 or 3 trips a year that include this on the itinerary, so be quick and book up while you can! It’s usually in spring time (as we move away from Raja Ampat, to get the boat back near Alor and Komodo for the summer season) or you might be lucky after the summer Komodo/Alor dates as we head back to Raja Ampat for the winter … but now that we plan to tour the Forgotten Islands around October every year there will be less itineraries exclusively in Maluku.

NB: The only 2014 trip that visits Ambon, with space open to book, is our special Kaleidoscope cruise from 14-27 November (more here; http://www.facebook.com/events/211110658939366) but you might be lucky next year on 2 April 2015 (see; http://www.facebook.com/events/468142163219367) … otherwise we have ONE cabin open to book on 28 October 2016 (see; http://www.facebook.com/events/772119842814724)!
